The Geospatial Engineering Branch has the following software packages available to the public. Follow any of the links for more information and downloading.
- Corpscon (Year 2000 compliant) is a MS-Windows-based program which allows the user to convert coordinates between Geographic, State Plane and Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) systems on the North American Datum of 1927 (NAD 27), the North American Datum of 1983 (NAD 83) and High Accuracy Reference Networks (HARNs). Corpscon performs vertical conversions to and from the National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (NGVD 29) and the North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD 88). Corpscon also calculates geoid-ellipsoid separations based on the NGS program Geoid96.
CPQA is being developed as an automated QA/QC process for spatial data collection. It will assist the contract monitor and the contractor with this process and provide the Corps with the most efficient and cost effective means of evaluating a surveying and mapping project.
- CVTPC is a software package which allows the user to import ASCII survey files into CAD files used by Intergraph's / Bentley's MicroStation CAD System.
- Align Soundings is a hydrographic utility package which allows the user to plot single-transducer hydrographic survey soundings perpendicular to the survey line from which they were taken. The program requires Intergraph's / Bentley's MicroStation CAD System.
- Corpsmet95 is a MS-Windows-based program which allows the user to create metadata files which are compliant with Content Standards for Digital Geospatial Metadata published by the Federal Geographic Data Committee.
